Grace had a so-so night of sleeping. She was a bit wheezy and discontented, and wanted to be held upright all night...until Grandma Ann had the idea to put her in the car seat! She slept there from 2am straight to 6am.

Lauren and Grace got to spend a bit more time together today. Lauren has been very sweet to little Grace, frequently asking if she can hold her.
Warning: Long video. Only serious Mouse Family Junkies will make it all the way to the end.

Announcing Grace Antalya Mouse. 8 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 ½ inches tall. Born at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Liz and Grace are doing great. The delivery was very smooth and predictable – a welcome blessing compared to Lauren’s arrival. So now we’re all just relaxing here at the fancy new Prentice Hospital till Friday.
About Antalya (Ann-Tall-Yuh): Grace’s middle name comes from a region on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, where Liz and I were traveling when we discovered we were pregnant. Antalya is the capital city of the province by the same name. The city was visited by the Apostle Paul on his journeys and is listed in Acts 14:25-26 (Attalia). The region got its name when King Attalos II, who ordered his men to find “Heaven on Earth.” After an extensive search, they discovered the region and named it Attaleia, which later became Antalya. For more information, check out Wikipedia.
Lauren, Clark, and Ann all had a chance to meet Grace today. There’s some great video, but we’ll need time to edit it.
In other news, we sold our condo in Wicker Park and the inspection finished today, so it should be clear sailing as long as the buyer doesn't really expect us to replace a hot water heater that "should only last 10 years" but still works perfectly. As we were headed to delivery, we put an offer on a house in Lincoln Square, a family-friendly neighborhood a little north of Wicker Park. Negotiations will take a while, but we’ll update you on that later in the week. If this house doesn’t work out, we have two others on our list, thanks to a mad dash of home tours this weekend before Liz’s period of bed rest.
Praise God, for He is good.

Bret made a surprise trip up to Chicago and stayed with us on Wednesday. His 7pm arrival happened to coincide with a house showing at that same time, and an offer on our house from a different buyer. For extra chaos, it was also a "girls night out" for Liz, so I had a full load of toddler and dog wrangling.
Unfortunately, this is the best picture I could manage, while running out the door to get the an over-due offer response done.
I've only had Lauren on two of the house showings, but she turns out to be quite the sales prodigy with quotes like "We have clean carpet!", "I have a nice room, do you want to see it?" "That's the other deck, the BIG one." and "What's your name?
The good news to report is that our house is under contract! That's perfect timing with everything else going on. About the only thing left is the inspection which is sometimes used to extract a few extra bucks out of the seller, but I don't think that will be a problem here since everything is in good shape.

She had a blast riding inside "Thomas the Train," pointing out all the things we passed, and giving her ticket to the conductor. She enjoyed seeing the other trains and concluding that "Gordon (another longer blue train she knows) goes downtown" and "Thomas goes to Cappex."
Once we got to the office she had a fun time chatting with all the people she met at the recent party we had at the house. She got to play with the koosh balls at one of Daddy's meetings before Mommy arrived in the car to pick her up.
